In a powerful statement at the UN, Russia's Deputy Permanent Representative, Maria Zabolotskaya, condemned Western countries for their "double standards" in addressing the global refugee crisis. Yemen's Ansarullah leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi declared the Bab al-Mandab Strait and Arabian Sea closed to Israeli and American ships. In a fiery speech, he said nine attacks targeted US naval assets in response to the Gaza war.
