John Lithgow on Criticism Over His Dumbledore Casting in 'Harry Potter' TV Series | THR News Video
John Lithgow is addressing some of the criticism to the actor playing Hogwartsheadmaster, Albus Dumbledore, in the upcoming 'Harry Potter' TV series.
Lithgow recently told BBC's 'The One Show' that he's "very excited" yet "very intimidated" to be the next actor to take on a role which has been played before in the 'Harry Potter' films by Richard Harris and Michael Gambon in the original films and by Jude Law in the 'Fantastic Beasts' franchise.
HBO has finally revealed some of the cast of its much talked about 'Harry Potter' TV series. After months of media rumors and reports HBO finally broke its silence and announced the cast for the key adult roles in its adaptation of J.K. Rowling's beloved novels including Dumbledore, Hagrid and more.

We now know when 'The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum' will hit theaters, as well as the release dates for two other Warner Bros. movies. Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema revealed that Andy Serkis' 'The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum' will open in cinemas on December 17th, 2027. Andy Serkis will both direct the movie and star in it. Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens — the Oscar-winning team behind the blockbuster 'The Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hobbit' trilogies — are producing the film. Walsh and Boyens are also among the film's writers.
