Toyota to invest Rs 3,300 crore for a new factory in Karnataka
Tuesday, 21 November 2023 Car companies, including Toyota, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Kia, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Tata Motors, are planning to invest over Rs 1 lakh crore in India by 2030-31 to boost their production capacity. Toyota is investing Rs 3,300 crore for a new factory, taking its total investments in India to nearly Rs 20,000 crore. The new plant will add one lakh capacity to its production by 2026. The company is struggling to meet demand in the market, and the new investments will help create jobs.
