Sensex, Nifty trade flat amid mixed global cues

Indian indices opened higher after a 6-session winning trend, but Nifty and Sensex dropped 0.6% due to profit-booking by domestic investors. Market participants decided to cash in on recent gains. Domestic institutional investors stopped buying, while foreign investors became net buyers. IT stocks are in focus. Asian markets showed slight gains. Tata Steel and SBI saw gains.
