Govinda to be probed in 1,000 cr ponzi scam

The Odisha Economic Offences Wing (EOW) plans to question Bollywood actor Govinda in connection with a Rs 1,000 crore online ponzi scam investigation. The scam involved Solar Techno Alliance (STA-Token), which posed as a crypto investment venture and collected unauthorized deposits from over 2 lakh individuals across India. Govinda had reportedly endorsed the company's operations in promotional videos. The investigation has already led to the arrest of the heads of the company in India and Odisha, as well as an investment adviser. Lookout notices have been issued against the company's chief and three other executives.
