'Vedaa' opens at Rs 6.50 crore at the box office

IndiaTimes Thursday, 15 August 2024
Vedaa, directed by Nikhil Advani and starring John Abraham and Sharvari, opened modestly with Rs 6.50 crore on Independence Day. Despite competing with Stree 2, it aims for Rs 23-24 crore over a 5-day weekend. Abraham's buzz waned due to delays, but Vedaa hopes for decent results. The film follows Abhimanyu, a former soldier, who defies caste norms in Barmer by training Dalit boxer Vedaa.
