Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan mints Rs 80 lakh for premiere day in USA

Rajinikanth returns to cinema with T. J. Gnanavel's 'Vettaiyan', following his success in 'Jailer'. The film, featuring Amitabh Bachchan, tells the story of a retired police officer battling the system. Scheduled for release on 10th October during Dussehra, it will compete with Alia Bhatt's 'Jigra' and Rajkummar Rao's 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video'.
