Ukraine updates: UK pledges largest military aid to Kyiv
Tuesday, 23 April 2024 () British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced an additional €580 million in new military supplies for Kyiv. Meanwhile the US Senate is set to discuss a separate aid package to Ukraine. DW rounds up the latest.
People in Kyiv share their views after the US House of Representaives' approved a long-delayed $61-billion aid package for Ukraine. "It will help a lot," says Oksana, a Nurse. "It will make guys who are fighting there - happy," says Stepan, who works for Ukrainian Railways.
Ukraine has been rationing ammunition and bullets; meanwhile the Russian army has been using 'human wave' tactics by sending poorly trained recruits to the frontline in a bid to force Ukraine use up all of its ammunition.

Lord David Cameron says the UK is "once again absolutely leading the way" on the international stage in its support for Ukraine.
