Much of Antarctic glacier could be gone faster than expected, experts warn
Thursday, 19 September 2024 A massive ice sheet in Antarctica - equal to the size of Great Britain - could be all but lost by the 23rd century, experts warn.
ITV News Science Correspondent Martin Stew was the only journalist on board the RRS Sir David Attenborough, deep within the Antarctic Circle. He joined Climate scientist Professor Mike Meredith who is studying how underwater tidal waves — triggered by collapses on that scale — alter the ocean and accelerate warming.
