First emperor penguin found in Australia after 2,000-mile journey
Monday, 11 November 2024 A malnourished emperor penguin has been found in Australia for the first time - more than 2,200 miles north of the Antarctic coast.
ITV News Science Correspondent Martin Stew was the only journalist on board the RRS Sir David Attenborough, deep within the Antarctic Circle. He joined Climate scientist Professor Mike Meredith who is studying how underwater tidal waves — triggered by collapses on that scale — alter the ocean and accelerate warming.
