A horrifying ambush in Kootenai County, Idaho left two firefighters dead and one wounded after responding to a blaze near Coeur d’Alene. Chilling 911 audio reveals a frantic caller reporting an active shooter, claiming the fire was set intentionally to lure firefighters into a trap. “We need law enforcement up here immediately,” the caller shouted amid gunfire. The Sniper’s body was later discovered with a firearm nearby. Idaho Governor Brad Little condemned the attack as “heinous,” calling it an assault on heroic first responders.
