Karnataka: Big win for Congress in urban local body polls

The Congress won six, JD(S) two and BJP managed only one of the ten urban local bodies which went to polls on April 27. Of the seven, Congress won Ballari and Teerthahalli, both bastions of the ruling BJP. In Bidar, the Congress emerged as the single largest party.
