AIM plea against Gyanvapi survey to be heard in SC today

The Supreme Court is likely to take up on Monday a contempt petition filed by the Gyanvapi mosque management committee against the Varanasi district court's July 21 order for an Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) survey of the mosque complex, adjacent to Kashi Vishwanath temple. On Friday, Varanasi district judge AK Vishvesha ordered the ASI survey of Gyanvapi complex on an application moved by four Hindu women on May 16, 2023.
