Thursday, 3 August 2023 Congress Lok Sabha MP from Anandpur Sahib Manish Tewari on Thursday claimed that the Digital Data Protection Bill has been classified as a money bill and that the Rajya Sabha will hardly have a role in the legislation. Minister for Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Ashwini Vaishnaw, however, refuted the Congress leader's claims and said it is a "normal bill".
