Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar congratulated Rahul Gandhi on the restoration of his Lok Sabha membership from Wayanad. Rahul Gandhi was stripped of his membership after a Gujarat court convicted him in a 2019 defamation case over his Modi surname remark. Nitish said it was a matter of great happiness for all and that now opposition parties would unite to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha polls to defeat the BJP from the Centre.
