50 killed as cloudbursts and landslides batter Himachal

Intense rains and cloudbursts hit Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for the second time since July, resulting in over 50 deaths and many missing. Landslides and flash floods have caused widespread destruction, including damage to homes, bridges, and power outages, as well as blocked roads and railways. The Kalka-Shimla rail route, which is a designated World Heritage site, has also been severely damaged.
