Disease outbreaks cause distress to both patients and the authorities. But what if they can be predicted well in advance? Bengaluru, the country's tech capital, has taken a step in that direction. BBMP and the health and family welfare department, in collaboration with ARTPARK of Indian Institute of Science, will unveil a disease surveillance dashboard on Friday, which can predict surge in infections four weeks in advance, and that too with up to 70% accuracy.
