Mumbai airport traffic up 32% in August over last year

Mumbai airport experienced a 32% increase in passenger traffic in August, handling over 4.3 million passengers. This growth is attributed to the rebound in demand for air travel after the pandemic. During the Independence Day weekend, there was an 8% surge in passenger volumes. Domestic destinations such as Delhi, Bangalore, and Chennai were popular, while international traffic saw a sharp increase, with Dubai, London, and Abu Dhabi being the top choices. Munich and Hanoi registered the highest growth in international passenger traffic.
