Missed meeting Amit Shah due to events in Baramati, says Ajit Pawar

IndiaTimes Monday, 25 September 2023
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar clarified that he missed Union Home Minister Amit Shah's programme in Mumbai due to prior commitments. Speculation arose about his absence being linked to his relationship with the Shiv Sena and BJP, but Pawar dismissed it, stating that he had informed Shah's office and the Chief Minister about his prior engagements. He also disregarded banners projecting his nephew as the next Chief Minister, stating that only those with the support of 145 MLAs can become the CM. Pawar also mentioned that the Metro rail project extension plan is awaiting approval from one minister.
