Gaganyaan manned space mission: Isro defers test flight
Isro chairman S Somanath said the launch has been deferred as the engine ignition did not happen nominally. The automatic launch sequence held back the launch. "We have to go to the rocket and come back with the anomaly understanding and schedule the launch very soon," he said. Isro has developed a liquid propelled single stage test vehicle, which used a modified Vikas engine, to carry the crew module and the crew escape system on its fore end. The crew module in the launch is a replica of the module that will carry three astronauts to space.
