Cop suspended over Insta gun reel reinstated, sacked again
Tuesday, 24 October 2023 A police constable in Uttar Pradesh, Priyanka Mishra, has been terminated after posting an Instagram reel of herself in uniform with a service pistol. Mishra had previously been suspended for the same incident in 2021 but was reinstated without proper consultation. However, her appointment was cancelled within 48 hours by the Agra police commissioner, who deemed it erroneous. Mishra had applied to work for the police department again, citing financial difficulties.
