Cyclone Hamoon intensifies into severe cyclonic storm over Bay of Bengal

Cyclonic Storm 'Hamoon' has intensified into a severe cyclonic storm over the Northwest Bay of Bengal, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). It is currently centered over the northwest Bay of Bengal and is expected to cross the Bangladesh coast between Khepupara and Chittagong on October 25. The Municipal Administration in Odisha has issued an alert for all Urban Local Bodies (ULB) due to the potential dangers posed by the cyclonic storm, including heavy rainfall and strong winds.
