3 mimic jewellery store's email ID, get bank to transfer Rs 18 lakh

Three men from Bihar and UP were arrested for cheating a Mumbai cooperative bank by impersonating the email ID of a jewelry shop and getting the bank to transfer Rs 18 lakh to two other accounts. The main perpetrators of the cyberattack are still at large. The investigation revealed that laborers' accounts in Rajasthan are being used for such frauds. Police have frozen 40 bank accounts of suspects. The arrested men are in judicial custody.
