Cop turns lawyer, daughter gives up legal career for IPS

Isha Singh, a young human rights lawyer, has switched careers and become a police officer. Inspired by her father, a former IPS officer, she felt that she could serve the people better in this role. Singh fought a legal battle and secured compensation for three women whose husbands had died while cleaning manholes. Now, she hopes to help many more people as a police officer. Singh is part of the passing-out parade at the SVP National Police Academy in Hyderabad. She will be the third generation of her family to serve as a cop.
