Last rake for Mumbai Metro 3 Phase 1 to be in Aarey depot on Nov 1

The ninth train for Mumbai's Metro 3 Colaba-Bandra-Seepz line has arrived, bringing the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) closer to starting operations on the Phase I route. The MMRC has ordered 31 eight-coach trains from Alstom and plans to run a total of 110 services on the 12km route. Trials for the trains are expected to begin in mid-November, followed by further inspections and approvals before commercial runs can commence. The trains will initially operate with a pilot and may transition to driverless mode in the future.
