Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik flags off special pilgrimage train for elderly
Tuesday, 31 October 2023 Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has flagged off a special pilgrimage train for the elderly, as part of an initiative by the state tourism department. The train will take 961 elderly pilgrims from five districts to Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu and Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. The government is sponsoring the pilgrimage for free. The train journey has been arranged to ensure the safety and well-being of the pilgrims, with government officials, doctors, and nurses accompanying them. Those who were unable to participate this time will be given priority in the future.
