IndiaTimes Thursday, 2 November 2023
Protests have erupted among Congress leaders and supporters in Rajasthan after certain aspirants and sitting MLAs were omitted from the party's lists for the upcoming assembly elections. Mahesh Joshi, the sitting MLA for Jaipur's Hawa Mahal, has not been renominated due to his involvement in a rebellion last year. Other instances of protest include Khiladi Lal Bairwa resigning from the state SC commission after being denied a ticket, and supporters of Hemant Bhati protesting the nomination of Dropadi Koli in Ajmer South. Protests have also occurred in Kathumar.
