Dharmendra Pradhan’s former private secretary Sambit Tripathy joins BJP
Former private secretary to the petroleum minister, Sambit Tripathy, has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in India. Tripathy, who retired from his role as an Indian Revenue Service officer in 2020, cited his desire to serve the people in a more meaningful way as his reason for joining politics. He has been involved in voluntary work in Cuttack district, helping farmers adopt new farming methods and explore alternative livelihood options. Tripathy also expressed his interest in contesting in the upcoming assembly election.
