Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai calls meeting with all ministers on air pollution problem
Thursday, 9 November 2023 Delhi Environment Minister, Gopal Rai, has called for a meeting with all ministers to discuss the ongoing air pollution crisis in the capital city. The air quality in Delhi is currently in the 'severe' category, with a slight improvement expected before Diwali. Surrounding areas such as Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Noida, Greater Noida, and Faridabad also reported very poor air quality. A change in wind direction is expected to reduce the impact of stubble burning, but slow wind speed may counteract this. Higher wind speeds are anticipated after November 11, which should help disperse pollutants.

In a disturbing incident, a renowned social media influencer and YouTuber fell victim to an alleged assault in Gurgaon, reportedly orchestrated by Elvish Yadav, the winner of Bigg Boss OTT, along with 10 others. According to police reports, Sagar Thakur, a 25-year-old from Delhi, was subjected to a brutal attack by Yadav around midnight on Friday. The altercation purportedly occurred at Southpoint Mall on Golf Course Road, where Yadav had summoned Thakur under the pretext of a discussion.
