Furore in IIT-B over talks on Hamas
A lecture by writer Devdutt Pattanaik at the Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay campus sparked controversy, with students divided on whether it should be held. Another organization, Vivek Vichar Manch, wrote to the Mumbai police commissioner asking for action against those "vitiating the campus' environment." Students from IIT-Bombay filed a police complaint against a professor and a guest lecturer who allegedly expressed support for Hamas and terrorists during a lecture. The lecture took place as part of a coursework on November 6.
