India votes against Israeli settlements in occupied territory
India has voted in favor of a resolution in the UN General Assembly condemning Israeli settlement activities in Occupied Palestinian Territory. The resolution, which was approved by a majority of 145 countries, calls for the cessation of settlement activities and the adherence to international humanitarian law. India has previously voted in favor of similar resolutions and has backed talks for a two-state solution. The US, Canada, Hungary, Israel, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Nauru were among the seven countries that voted against the resolution.
