Will retire from politics, if proved I have taken money in single case of transfer: Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah
Sunday, 19 November 2023 Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has stated that he will retire from politics if it is proven that he has taken money in any government transfer case. He made the statement in response to repeated attacks from JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy, who has accused Siddaramaiah and his son of involvement in a "cash for transfer" racket. Siddaramaiah also accused Kumaraswamy of similar activities during his own tenure as Chief Minister.
Suhas Adiga, General Secretary of the Karnataka State IT/ITeS Employees Union (KITU), criticises the proposed amendment to extend the workday to 14 hours in the IT/ITES/BPO sector as the biggest anti-worker move in history.
