H. D. Kumaraswamy: Former Chief Minister of Karnataka
Hardanahalli Devegowda Kumaraswamy is an Indian politician who is the former president of the Janata Dal Secular Party and current MLA from Channapatna. He is the former Chief Minister of Karnataka. He resigned from the position of Chief Minister on 23 July 2019 after his coalition government lost a no trust motion in the 15th Assembly to the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is a former president of the Karnataka State Janata Dal (Secular) and son of former Prime Minister of India H. D. Deve Gowda.
