Massive political fight breaks out over Karnataka government decision to withdraw the CBI probe against DK Shivakumar
Friday, 24 November 2023 The Karnataka High Court has adjourned the hearing of the appeal filed by Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar against the sanction accorded by the previous government to the CBI to prosecute him in the disproportionate assets case. The political fight in Karnataka continues as the Congress-ruled state government approved the withdrawal of the CBI probe against DK Shivakumar. The decision has been criticized by the BJP, with their chief calling it 'totally illegal' and demanding the Chief Minister revoke it. JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy accused the government of protecting 'dacoits'.
