Many boycotted vote in Raj over unaddressed grievances

IndiaTimes Monday, 27 November 2023
As citizens across Rajasthan eagerly participated in the democratic process by casting their votes in the just-concluded polls, some booths became the focal point of a different narrative due to protests through voter boycotts. In the Chavarli village of the Pindwara Abu assembly constituency in Sirohi district, all 890 voters chose to abstain from voting, standing united to highlight unaddressed grievances. The primary demand voiced by the Chavarli villagers was the inclusion of their village in the Basantgarh Gram Panchayat.
