Wednesday, 29 November 2023
"You can be a case study for universities on how to lead people in a crisis," Prime Minister Narendra Modi told Gabbar Singh Negi, a tunnel foreman who led the 41 trapped workers in the Silkyara tunnel for 17 days and kept their spirits high. In a telephonic interaction with the rescued workers late on Tuesday night, the PM lauded the efforts of Negi and Saba Ahmed for their indomitable spirit and leadership during the crisis. He praised strength and "patience" of workers and their family members, and their cooperation during the rescue process rather than creating pressure on agencies.
