Navi Mumbai: Man smashes beer bottle on head of college girl

A 21-year-old college girl waiting at a bus stop in Nerul was severely injured when a vagrant, identified as Imam Hassan Samshud, allegedly smashed a beer bottle on her head. The assailant also attempted to pierce her abdomen with the broken bottle. Two passersby came to her rescue. The police arrested the accused, who appears to be mentally unstable, on charges of attempt to murder. The victim, Nisha Kumbhar, is a SYBA student of JVM Mehta College and lives in Airoli.
