Indian public policy think-tank, Centre for Knowledge Sovereignty, and GIS solutions leader, Esri India, have partnered to launch the 'master mentors geo-enabling Indian scholars' (MMGEIS) program. The program aims to make India a global hub for geospatial technology by fostering a strong IP framework and enabling more patents. It will target students from 8th grade to undergraduate level, offering vision talks, mentoring by experts, and interactive activities. The program will be rolled out from June 2024, aligning with the National Education Policy's focus on experiential learning.
