Amid multi-state hunt, breach kingpin Lalit Jha surrenders to cops at Kartavya Path
Lalit Jha, the suspected key conspirator behind the security breach at Parliament, was arrested late on Thursday, raising the prospect of a breakthrough into the sensational episode which exposed chinks in supposedly one of the strongest security arrangements in the country. Jha, along with his comrades, plotted the act inspired by Bhagat Singh and Che Guevara. He enjoyed a 'first-among-equals' status in the group and had the trust of all members. Investigations have led police to Nilaksha Aich, who was connected to Jha through an NGO. Jha's role may have been even bigger than initially suspected.
