Digi Yatra to cover 25 more airports by end of '24: Jyotiraditya Scindia
Friday, 15 December 2023 The number of Digi Yatra-enabled airports will increase from 13 currently to 38 by 2024-end, making domestic flying a paperless experience at 25 additional places, Union aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said Friday. Also, big airports - which had started resembling cramped malls on weekends, albeit with aerobridges - will be allowed to have shops only after ensuring required space for necessities like main touchpoints such as security and seating, by factoring in projected traffic growth.
The BJP has announced the nominations for the Lok Sabha elections, with former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan nominated from Vidisha and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia set to contest the Guna seat. The 53-year-old leader is among the 195 Lok Sabha election candidates announced by the BJP at its presser on Saturday. The first list includes several bigwigs including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah and defence minister Rajnath Singh. After the announcement was made, Scindia took to social media platform X to thank the BJP top brass for his candidature. βBJP's top leadership has given me an opportunity to serve the brothers and sisters of Guna.
