Nearly 1 lakh people chant Bhagavad Gita verses in Kolkata's iconic Brigade Parade grounds
Nearly 1 lakh people from diverse backgrounds, including prominent figures from the Bengal BJP unit and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), gathered at the Brigade Parade Grounds in Kolkata to collectively chant sacred verses from the Bhagavad Gita. Adorned in traditional attires, people of all ages and societal status recited verses from the holy book alongside revered sages. The 'Lokkhe Konthe Gita Path' event, attended by approximately 120,000 individuals, received best wishes from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. BJP state president Sukanta Majumdar emphasized the significance of the Bhagavad Gita and criticized those who mocked the event.
