Centre orders probe against Kashmir business chamber
Thursday, 18 January 2024 The Centre orders an inquiry into the activities of Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) under the Companies Act, 2013. The probe is in response to complaints of unlawful and fraudulent business practices. KCCI is asked to submit financial documents dating back to 2010.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to make a significant visit to Srinagar, marking his first trip to Kashmir since the abrogation of Article 370. The Prime Minister is expected to address a public meeting and unveil multiple development projects worth more than Rs 6,400 crore.
