Seaweed to usher in sea change near sensitive Indo-Pak border in Kutch

Seaweed farming, a highest priority national strategic project, has been successfully initiated in Sir Creek, a sensitive area near the India-Pakistan border. The project aims to uplift the lives of fishermen and enhance security in the region. The Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI) is implementing the project using advanced mariculture technology adapted to the challenging tidal conditions.
