HAL workers may replace military staff in Maldives

India remains a committed development partner of the Maldives and has allocated a certain amount of budgetary assistance. The initial budgetary allocation for 2023-24 was Rs 400 crore, but the revised estimate increased to almost Rs 771 crore. In the interim budget for 2024-25, Rs 600 crore has been set aside as development assistance to the Maldives.
