Off-duty JCO abducted, rescued in Manipur

An Army JCO, Naib Subedar Konsam Kheda Singh, was kidnapped in Manipur but later safely rescued. The incident is under investigation. Other soldiers and an additional superintendent of police have been kidnapped by unidentified armed groups. Family members have also been targeted. In a separate incident, two labourers were beaten up.
