65-million-year-old basalt rocks found in Telangana's Asifabad forests

Miniature columnar basalt rocks, 65 million years old, found in Ginnedhari forest range, Telangana. T Pranay of PRIHAH discovered them. Further study needed to understand their relation to Adilabad, Geological Survey of India. Found in Columbian river basalts, Iceland, Australia, Mars. Enriching understanding of Telangana's geology, according to MA Srinivasan.
