Dera kar seva pramukh shot dead inside Uttarakhand gurdwara
Thursday, 28 March 2024 Baba Tarsem Singh, the 'dera kar seva pramukh' of Nanakmatta gurdwara in Uttarakhand, was fatally shot by two turban-wearing assailants at the shrine premises. The assailants fired multiple shots, leading to Singh's death despite immediate medical attention. Police recovered gun shells and formed a special investigation team for a prompt probe. Chief Minister visited the family for assurance.

West Bengal recorded the highest turnout till 5 PM at 77.57 per cent, followed by Tripura at 76.10 per cent. Voter turnout in Assam stood at 70.77 per cent, while Manipur recorded a voter turnout of 68.58 per cent till 5 PM.
