After BSP candidate death, polls in Madhya Pradesh's Betul to be held on May 7
Wednesday, 10 April 2024 () Following the BSP candidate's demise, Lok Sabha polls in Betul (ST), MP were rescheduled to May 7. The new nominee can file by April 19, with scrutiny on April 20 and withdrawal by April 22.

The second phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh on April 26 holds high stakes for several prominent faces, including actress Hema Malini, actor Arun Govil, and former BSP leader Danish Ali. In the eight constituencies going to polls – Amroha, Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, and Mathura – unemployment has emerged as a major concern, with youth expressing anger over recruitment exam paper leaks and lack of job opportunities.
