DRDO plans India's first underwater-launched UAV, awards contract to Pune startup Sagar Defence

The DRDO has taken a significant step towards enhancing India's underwater military prowess by partnering with Sagar Defence Engineering Pvt Ltd, a Pune-based defence startup, to develop innovative underwater-launched unmanned aerial vehicles (ULUAVs). These ULUAVs will be the first of their kind and will be deployed from submarines.
