Tigress dies from train hit in Maharashtra forest area

A 1.5-year-old tigress was killed after being hit by a Raxaul Express train on the Chanda Fort-Gondia railway line in the Sindewahi forest in Maharashtra. This track's first wildlife fatality in 2025, the incident raises concerns as 13 wild animals were killed in train accidents on the Gondia-Ballarshah line in 2024.
